Yeah i took mine for a MOT a couple of years ago and they creashed the car. Excuse was the guy creashed it trying to get it onto the ramp! YEAH RIGHT! It's ok though. It cost them a £6k respray just for a cracked bumper and headlightsDezzy wrote:Will you be there at the dealers after they do the service.
I wouldn't want anyone having the first drive of either of them, other than me!
I have seen BMW mechanics giving new M3's some grief up and down outside our place. I wouldn't like the idea of that happening you them. Just a thought

Never doubted you for a second mate, what an awesome car, very good find, hw did you hear about it?, my dream garage includes a 3 door sierra cossie, an e30 m3 and an Audi coupe quattro, seems like you need to find one of those now
madness, congratulations too, and thanks for bothering to share with us, you'd have thought the original owner might have got one in each colour though
now, look for another one, a decent condition one which can actually be regularly used and enjoyed
seriously though, do you have many cars that you do take out and enjoy driving. obviously most of the collection we see and hear about is the uber rare, ultra low mileage stuff, which isnt, and never will be used 'properly'
given the funds, i'm sure i would attempt to build up a collection in the same vein, but i also love driving so would have to have an equally large collection of awesome cars, which weren't perfect, which i could use (and abuse) without worrying about harming their value.

Very well done that man. Obviously the billionaire bloke knew you were the man for such a responsible job. Looking after those two amazing vehicles!
Love those seats by the way!!
As stated above....It would be nice to see them (or at least one of them) at one of this years shows?

Must admit to feeling extreme envy.
But having said that very pleased to see these two amazing finds!! Hats off to you sir.

The car has not been started or driven for 20years, so will need recommissioning, its booked into a BMW main dealer next week for all fluids, filters and belts a to be changed before its started for the first time in 20 years

Hope Swansea BMW have sorted themselves out. When I lived there, Trainers BMW had a really bad reputation. I think that's probably why someone opened a BMW specialist on Fabian Way, who treated me really well.

Nah seriously hope you get it and keep it in the garage, despite many people whinging about "cars should be driven etc etc" i think some cars should be driven and some cars should be stored for future generations to see what a real new example looked like, yes i agree a 50k E30 M3 is not a candidate for storing, a sub 1K E30 M3 should only be stored and hardly driven except in special events - i spent yesterday helping here at the Bahrain Track work on 20 old race cars from Ferarris, maseratis and lotus (mainly owned by Ecclestone) without folk like you storing old cars i would never have seen a 1960's Ferarri Thin Wall special drive on a track...Good luck!

I see your point of view, but do you really think that BMW don't have a SportEvo with even fewer miles in their possession?
And you've touched on another of my "bees in bonnet"
Anyhow. Nice to see the pics of this M3.

Funny that, I have nothing but good things to say about Trainers, and Martin Trainer himself has a lovely low mileage E30 M3, which he tracks!Hellbound wrote:Hope Swansea BMW have sorted themselves out. The 'specialist' on Fabian Way on the other hand, I've heard some horror stories about them!! Only went there once, never ever went back.

Well.... what can i say?! Bonkers well done that man!
I sincerelly hope that you have not been put off by the doubters and haters. This forum is in general a welcoming group of people with an enthusiasm for E30's and BMW's in general that runs very deep.
What you have aquired is basicly the holy grail in E30 terms and to have found 2 identical examples is a dam near miracle!
I'm sure you already have someone trusted to do mechancial work on your existing collection but as mentioned previously, if you do use anyone you've not used before, make sure they are up to the task in hand and trust worthy to undertake the work with the diligence these two stupidly rare finds require. (Shame you not local as I wish they were coming to the BMW dealer i work in!
)
Again, as said i hope you manage to get to some of the bigger BMW shows this summer, here's what look to be the 3 biggest ones this year.
BMW car club national show, Gaydon Warwickshire, 15th August
http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/index.php
Ultimate BMW show, Santa Pod 19th September
http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 88&start=0
The German show, Beaulieu 24th/25th July
http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 14797619th
Good luck with it all, and keep those pics coming!

Congratulations Bonkers, do you require an apprentice buyer ,I'd be happy to view such classics for you and I wouldn't want much pay initially, I think we should look for a new integrale evo2 next, then maybe a Renault 5 TURBO 2 and a SWB Audi Quattro Sport.
E30 M3 Zinnober , anthracite uberkaro, BBS RS, Stock 200hp, E28 M5 Diamond Schwarz , standard car.
As said its such a shame you are far away from the dealer i work at (Chandlers BMW, Hailsham).Jhonno wrote:Is there no other dealer that would do it?! Would be very cool to get the BMW stamp tbh..
We have 4 techs that worked on these when they were new and i know my E30's as well. We still get alot of the older BMW's coming to us, hell last week i was doing sunroof drive cables on an E28 525e!

Sounds like the best option to me, especially if they didn't even think to get back to you afterwards! From what you've said I'm guessing you're in the car trade?bonkers wrote:Hey thanks for all the very nice comments and advice!!!
I rang my local BMW dealer (TRAINER'S BMW) on tue's to get them booked in and give me quote on recommissioning on both cars!!!
Guess what?? they never even rang back.....W*****S
I think its because i sell more BMW's than they do![]()
So i will get my workshop's to do the work using gen parts at least that way i will know the service will be carried out with the respect they deserve
I only went to BMW to get the stamp in the service book which i think is important if i ever decide to sell!!!! But F**K "EM"
More pics to follow soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMFG! You kept the RS200 quiet!
i notice one of them has around 30% higher mileage than the other... does that reduce it's value significantly?
You are a lucky man
Has the passion for old fords fizzled out then or are you on the lookout for an early unregistered focus RS? I get the feeling your collection is driven purely by your admiration for the cars, not necessarily the economics of it all?
