brand new delivery mileage evo sport

My bad I thought it was the Xr3 not the s1rst
My XR3i was poo. The sunroof opened itself at anything over 90. Loved my Mr2 xr2 though and the mk3 XR3.
I think the point is he likes low milage fords. The collection is full of them. The only reason for looking at a BMW is because it's an M3 IMO. Who really would want to collect an E39? Nice car but not iconic is it?

Co Founder of CR24vTM By Invitation Only. Absolutely no riff raff!!!
i meant series one sorry, ye he was only the second owner, his auntie gave it to him in 1999, he kept it in good nick and started it up regular, i told him to get an mot on it and sell it for more but hes a lazy git and just sold it as it was, it passed with no probs when the guy who bought it took it lol i reckon he should have kept it, think it had 70k on it.jbh wrote:the one owned by princess Diana was a one off black series 1 rs turbo..jaymos wrote: you obviously havnt read it right as the princess diana one is a mark1 rs, and the one im on about is an xr3i not an xr3
what was the mileage on your mates xr3i at £500 and was it 100% original ?my mate recently sold his for 500 quid, he had it in storage for 10 years, not a spot rust on it

i thought you were going mad, e34s that are e39s and xr3s that are xr3is lolDezzy wrote:I will blame that one on the iPhone looked like 39 when I read it earier. Same applies though.

Anyone who can afford that kind of collection will almost certainly have a big salary job which usually involve long hours, so i doubt the 1st thing he does when he gets home from work is jump on a BMW forum to show potless losers like us lot some pics of his new car!!
Give the guy some time - im sure when he has nothing better to do with his time he will drop some pics our way.
but Muuuummmmm. He started it!
(when he told us about it. )
I like the comment by someone else. "It will look like a SportEvo just with fewer miles. And whilst I appreciate the OP is a collector. It's a car to me. And should be driven like a sports coupe should. Not polished to within an inch of it's lfe.

Same here. anal car collectors infuriate me nothing worse than seeing iconic cars not been used as intended.Rich_W wrote:m3ben05 wrote:Bloody hell, just spotted this and ready through it - cant believe how may people are slagging the guy off!!

And please dont mention xr3's bloody nasty turds, who the fcuk would want to preen and preserve one? Sierra cosworth's on the other hand are as special as an e30 M3 if not more so inmo.

photoshop?
Nah seriously hope you get it and keep it in the garage, despite many people whinging about "cars should be driven etc etc" i think some cars should be driven and some cars should be stored for future generations to see what a real new example looked like, yes i agree a 50k E30 M3 is not a candidate for storing, a sub 1K E30 M3 should only be stored and hardly driven except in special events - i spent yesterday helping here at the Bahrain Track work on 20 old race cars from Ferarris, maseratis and lotus (mainly owned by Ecclestone) without folk like you storing old cars i would never have seen a 1960's Ferarri Thin Wall special drive on a track...Good luck!

Very nice and dusty. Hope we can welcome bonkers (the real one) now and enjoy many more photos
I hope you lot who were running your mouth's off apologise to the man and eat humble pie! I really cant understand why some people cant get their head round the fact that someone can afford such a rare car and not the usual abused startship mileage tat floating around for sale sites. As others have said, had i been bonkers i would not have bothered coming back here to post again, let alone put actual pictures of the car up

Thanks for even putting a pic up... I wouldn't have with the response of some planks on here.. Enjoy it! Get yourself one you can actually drive properly, so you can see what the fuss is about, will likely be a darn sight cheaper than that one!
Looks like it wants out to play to me - Bonkers - whats your favourite car in your possession?

Awesome, as already said cars are for driving but then ones like this come along and they should be stored and looked after for the future.
Fairplay for coming back and showing us the pics, must be nice to proove the doubters wrong.
