Good thread, even better because the car started almost 90% the same as mine, and its your everyday car like me too. I would like to think someday i could do the same power upgrade in mine, did you find it a nightmare to replace the lump with the IS?
I see you wax oiled your rust patch on your arches/s like me? certainly something i have to sort with mine in summer.

Real pain, but just becuase of the difference with the chassis' across the e30 range, but just little things no one tells u about, such as mounts, ancill mounts, wiring loom change etc etc. Very good learning tho!

Got myself some more and more shultz, so all will be sealed etc before paintwork! No paint painting onto a rot box

finally go round to making my custom e36 gearbox mount
as the e36 is engine sit on more of an angel than the e30 is lump, the gear box had to be twisted to accomodate, so had t mod the left hand mount higher to compensate
(bad camera angel, it does fit in properly!!)

Removed the plate surround!

AND got some new plates, personalised and shortened
Had a cleaning day and wet cleaner the carpets
