I know it's sort of a lower end, average joe E30, but with your experience in collecting, maybe you can give me a good estimate: What could an 84 318i with 80k miles catch for an offer? Condition is pretty decent. I just want to refurbish the suspension bushings. I'll look for some pics and post them in a few minutes.bonkers wrote:To be honest i collect any sort of car if its very rear and has very low mileage....is there anything else out there???bss325i wrote:Will you be on the look out for any other low mileage E30's or BMW's?
Thanks!

Sorry I can't find any others I would just run outside and snap a few more of the engine bay and interior, but I'm deployed to Afghanistan right now. I might be able to get my wife to take some more...

A two tone underseal and burgundrot 4 pot quattroporte is very few peoples idea of a desireable classic car. Low hundreds are as much as you could hope for if you had to sell.

Was that the barn in Italy that had been left for years and sold at auction? The couple who bought the barn didn't know till they broke the padlock off that it was full of the most collectable cars there is.
I got an email ages ago and couldn't believe the cars that were in there.

I figured as much. Funny story though; I was in Bath a while back, and right after I parked, a man walked up and was all over it. He gave me his phone number, and offered 2000 on the spot. I should have taken it, seeing the reaction from you guys on the zone. Could have put it towards a more worthy base for a project car. I guess I could still use it as a sleeper project... M10T anybody?pacerpete wrote:E30_Crazy wrote:I know it's sort of a lower end, average joe E30, but with your experience in collecting, maybe you can give me a good estimate: What could an 84 318i with 80k miles catch for an offer? Bonkers definitely exists on the RS owners' club, and definitely has an impressive collection of Fo*rds. What we don't know is if our Bonkers is the same Bonkers.
There must be someone on here who's a member of that club as well who could confirm whether it's the same person or if he has an impostor.

I'm not sure what difference it is going to make to whom to be honest. Or am I missing something? If it does turn out to be true, it will just be another car in his (Bonkers) collection (sat in a comfy garage and never driven etc.) and we won't ever get to gaze on it's majesty (except in a photo). And if it isn't true then it's just been another 'red herring' which I'm sure there will be plenty more of for us to get worked up about.

danbear,
Hey now... What's with the low-blow? Coming straight out and trying to make a liar out of me... That's kind of insulting. If there's one thing I take great pride in, it's the fact that my word as a man is trustworthy. Besides, what could there possibly be for me to gain in making something like this up? Obviously not the 2 stacks I didn't take. Even if it were a lie, and I got everyone on this topic to believe it, I'd still have nothing to show for it. And, speaking of topic, I think it could be considered untactful to derail the subject so much, just to be the one to point the finger and speak (or rather post) malcontented falsities.

That seems plausible. If so, danbear, please accept my apology for my conclusion. I didn't see a quote, and I assumed it was directed at me.325isporttech1 wrote:He was more than likely going on about the author of this thread dude, or at least i thought he was

agreed, you impatient feckers!
is anyone on here also on the relevant ford forum? surely he would have mentioned it there too. maybe Bonkers could post "E30zone rocks" on the ford forum and then post up a link! that would prove both Bonkers' are indeed one and the same
as well as confusing the fook out of the ford lads!

its just the normal zone clinch.. if there's no pics or facts in front of them they think its lies.. most ppl will be saying why didn't we see this advertised but as previously said it might not have been..e30topless wrote:so bonkers has bought an evo sport with delivery mileage?
