OK, the car is nearly finished, time to enjoy for a while.
The retrim is done, seats, door panels, Handles, door pockets and Steering wheel.
I fitted the carpet, proper auto carpet and a days labour. Not perfect but looks good (Well I think so anyway! )

Unfortunately, after washing the car Saturday, it now looks like the sahara has been dropped on it! I will try to get some arty pitctures when I get time, and I know the visor is split, two mint ones to go on, courtesy of DazLeeds.

I wish it was always sunny so I could do that, but I don't fancy driving a car full of rain water!

I would definately recommend them, the price was quite good, the workmanship excellent, they were 1 working day late finishing, but thatws because they hadn't realised the pockets and handles needed trimming. They took the interior away, leaving the car here and came back with it when complete. The guy re-installing took ages making sure it was all lined up.

The company is Chequers Auto Upholstery in Bearsted. They are associated with Car Hoods Direct, who fitted the new roof on the car.[/quote]

Cheers for the comments guys, I still can't get over how it changed the car totally.

eun, Actual cost, well, I did OK, as I have had several roofs replaced by them and recommended some people so I got a bit of discount

Total cost by these guys would normally be about Ԛ£1400. If you just want the seats done you are looking at about Ԛ£900. Cab is worse for door panels as the rear cards are big.

Not sure how much the rear roof cover would cost but I sprayed that and it looks very good. The guy I used is in Bearsted in Maidstone Kent.

best thing to do is call and find out. I think the seats should be Ԛ£900, luxury interiors in essewx charge 750 without the boards on the back of thefront seats.
I would reckon on Ԛ£150(ish) though

The black parts of the door card and the rear seat side panels, have they been retrimmed or are they stock?

Reason i ask is that I have some black ones to go in however they are slightly marked. One trimmer told me it was difficult to retrim them as they are injection moulded form the factory or something.

They have been retrimmed, they didn't think there was any problem with them.

I can't remember, I'll have a look later but I rang one of the upholsters in Classic car magazine and they wouldn't trim the car, they didn't say they would sell carpet, but I asked and they said they could sell the carpet on the roll so I oredered that from them. Most auto trimmers would sell the carpet on the roll, just not sure how much.

I still have some in the garage (should be enough to do another car) do you live near Kent?

They trimmed it all, fronts and rear door cards, handles and door pockets.
Only problem I have is keeping the damn things clean.

my car lol, the seats are cracked gone brown a bit but hopefuly,
colour restorer will sort that but the rear bench under where the armrest
comes down has a large hole in it, so thought i might as well retrim it,
unless anyone has one on here for sale?
I know of a retrim place in Norwich fella, on Dereham Road, next to the Jet Petrol Station/ behind Majestic Wines. Can't remember the name of the place but spotted it before when I was in there. Can't vouch for their work etc but maybe's worth checking them out as they are local for you.

Do you know what material was used for the handles and door cards, I know this sounds a bit dense :? but i want the handles and side pockets to be the same colour as the leather, and i doubt they trim it in that !! Would be interested in buying the carpet from you too, postage isnt a prob. I 've been looking for a simalar colour(charcoal)
