I agree, that's a lovely stance it's got there. I bought a set of eibachs and bilsteins before xmas that I haven't got round to fitting yet, can't wait to get them on.Ollie_bwoii wrote:capri_rob wrote:That looks perfect.
Loving the colour too, on any other car I don't think it works, but very

Ive worked in worse weather than that also i have worked in the dark with only a crap lamp for light in winter. The only problem with all of this is it makes you feel old before your time.Alex wrote:looking good, i dont think i would have worked in the snow

Looking forward to getting it all back together so I can see how it drives with over £500 worth of new bits thrown at it

OK just a small update from Saturday - we're nearly there

New Lemforder bushes in my "new" rear beam

This is the state of the worst rear trailing arm
the locator for the spring has completely gone

Backplate is knackered - new ones on the new arms

Trailing arm bushes definately seen better days

The only thing better about this side was that the locator was still there - it was attached by a thin layer of rust though

Very flaky diff but its quiet and oil tight - just unbolted from the old beam and bolted up to the new one and back in.
I've got to buy a pair of brake pipes, some clips and a pair of back exhaust box mountings as the capitive bolts sheared off when we tried to undo them - no suprise there
Next weekend just got to get the new trailing arms back on, brakes connected up and bled and the exhaust back on and we're done.
Big thanks again to town325i

You have to remove the rear seat base, then undo the subframe bolts and plates from under the car, you can then tap the big bolt upwards into the car to take it out.
