Look on ebay, haynes used to do one for the chromie's before combing it with the 5 series, the Bentley manual is supposed to be the best manual 8)

The engine in your car is a M10, same as fitted to the e21 and e28 with minor upgrades, the manual from haynes that covers the early e30's would help you with quite alot of stuff to do with your car, bodywork, suspension, interior etc.
If you want a manual to do with the engine/gearbox side of the car then have alook at the e21 haynes manual, it's a good guide to the m10, simple enough set up, had a few e21 316's and a couple of early e30 316's one of which was a tuned version of this engine and it was pretty quick!
