I'm thinking that if I see this car and the bodywork isn't all that good, I'll just go for tpft with a lower excess, and ice insurance to Ԛ£500...

Anyway, the reason I have max protected no claims is that I inherited this policy from my grandparents. I don't know exactly how it works, but my dad has one on one policy talks with our insurance provider (we do everything from cas to life insurance through one company) and the manager says it's all legal, so I can't ask for more than that!

My grandparents got a policy with their immobility package from the government, so I got put on their old policy, and they are removed. Basically it's my dad, my mum and I on my car, whatever car that happens to be.

I hope that makes some sort of sense?

Someone on here got insurance on a 318i convertible (2 insurance groups higher!) at 18 with 1 years NCB and Pass Plus for Ԛ£800.

Maybe he lived in a good area or something :?

In fact it was a Lux so 3 insurance groups higher!

kingbreezer, cheers for that info - the rents have a policy on the E36 with 8 years NCB. Can't see it being too hard to swap that with the E30 with 2 years no claims on it.

Have always wondered whether it could be done, but always thought "no chance" as it sounds a bit stupid really.

Nice one for the info :thumb:

No problemo, but best talk to a rep first to make sure your company allow this/don't charge huge transfer fees or whatever. :)
