have checked for sparks (seems ok) but don't think we have fuel pressure all of a sudden (no problems when i went to get parts this morning!)
Urgent help needed! Changed dizzy cap and rotor, no start

As above, changed the dizzy cap and rotor today , car refired once and now doesn't want to fire at all. Just cranks over and over with no signs of firing.

Waiting on the rain to stop so we can check the fuel pressure's ok by whipping a hose off and checking if the pump's working.
Beyond that, not too sure

Since it was fine before the work, I'd suggest rechecking that you don't have a mix up at the lead/distributor cap .

Checked fuel pressure, ok there.
I swapped the leads over 1 at a time to make sure i didn't cock up the firing order, though will double check.
*Edit* Firing order is ok. Plugs are dry and no smell of fuel when cranked over with the plugs out, possible lack of injectors firing???
The onlything we can think of is the crank sensor wire might have snagged somewhere and been damaged. Have gently tugged both ends and both seem intact.
How would you check it with a meter though?

Also would like to note, checked sensor with an ohms test, nothing, even while cranking over and the wire is hard as nails....

Ok, I take it the pump's under the back seat?
EDIT: Did check the pump by the bridging method, got a good wirr from the pump and could hear fuel flowing.
Had the fuel line off and checked that, again fuel pressent and flowing.
But there was no smell of fuel when cranking over with plugs removed, apparently this points to faulty CPS...
Brianmoore might be able to shed some light on this one!

Fuel pump was checked when cranking, was pumping fuel ok.
Surely can't have lost the injectors all in one go, i only worked on the distributer cap and the car was running fine prior to this.

True, the injectors wouldn't fire if they had no feed to them, but that's controlled by the ECU right?
If the ECU can't see what the engine is doing then it won't fire the injectors. This would revolve around the CPS not working
(I didn't have any reading from it having unpluged it from the loom, apparently meant to read 570 ohms?)
I would like to add that the car had been hesitating under acceleration, especially full throttle, like a misfire, ususally warm and in the damp.
