Delivery mileage and well marketed, that could well be 100k + !! Tonced up 100000+ milers have changed hands recently for 30k + , so 100k for something that is 'new' and irreplaceable must be realistic.
My last Sport Evolution with approx 135000KM was bought out of the loot freeads about 6/7 years ago for £5700 . It was tatty but straight, original and zero rust .
I done a full paedo refurb and thought I was elected when I served it to the notably tight Andyboy for 12 bags which was approx the market value at the time ! :(

It used the standard grill instead of the RST one.

Bonkers,now thats a proper collection. :D :D

I know the mk2 RS2000 in signal Amber you have, from a few years back, when it sat in a showroom in Milnthorpe. Was tempted myself with it tbh!

That RS500 is lovely btw.

Good luck with the M3.

Bl**dy hell, this guy really isnt a dreamer...That really is a nice collection there, and I dont think it is just an honour not only to ford enthausiasts but to all petrol heads.

How comes your turning to e30s now? Have you just seen this particular e30 and you think it sounds good? or have you the e30 bug?

In the other forum I notice you using the word "Investment" quite often. Are you planning on selling them all one day, or you planning on keeping them all till you last days?

Good post! :)

@ Bonkers - extremely nice collection 8) (Don't know anything about Fords really, but certainly as a car enthusiast can appreciate it +++)

Regarding your collection - what kind of maintenance is required? Do you run the cars every so often? Do you change fluids after a period of time despite next to no miles?

I've often drooled over the Bonkers RS collection 8) . Really looking forward to seeing the BMW collection develop. There was an 18k miles E30 M3 convertible around recently too that would be on my list.

The Sport Evo you decribe is a seriously desirable piece of kit - I reckon this could be worth upwards of £60k.

Hats off to you - doing what a lot of us would do if we'd got the cash.

Get some pics up if you get it. :D

Bonkers, if thats your collection then fair play. I wouldn't be able to resist driving some of them though if I owned them!

On a side note, if you know of a delivery milage M3 Sport Evo, and can afford it, your an extremely luck man.

Fancy donating so I can even afford to buy a turd of an M3??? :chuckle:

If it's a genuine straight car. Preferably with Leather and all the options. Probably 50-60K at a push.

Saying that, if it's been sitting its going to need a bit of a look over. I daresay the rubber parts weren't treated before letting it sit. Was it kept in the dry/damp free?Cars are Ok for a good few months sitting not moving, but after that it works against it.

And is it actually in better conditon than a say 25K one with 20 odd full (anal) services and driven regularly?

Of course,I echo what was said above cars are for driving. BMW have their own SE, no point in an owner feeling he has to preserve one for the ages. In 200 years time no one will remember hte E30 at all. Let alone the M3's

Awesome stuff Mark, you're not in the Mumbles area btw?

How about something like this, E34 M5 with 69km.

As a matter of interest, what kind of work do you normal do to a car that you'd buy that might only have 52miles yet has been stood up for 20 years or something in a garage?

I'd assume brake-lines, bushings and any perishables would fall apart with its first drive?

Was thinking the same thing. Sure it's an early variant, but after giving it a thorough once over it would be perfect for his new ultra low mileage BMW collection. I'd even volunteer to pick it up for him :P

Bonkers that is an envious collection you have. If you are lucky enough to purchase the Sport Evo you won't be disappointed as they are fantastic cars.

I have one and love every minute of it. Fingers crossed for you

Bear in mind that 100k will get you a serious Group A M3 that's a unique bit of motoring history. This is one of many M3s out there, and although it's got low miles it's still not as historically significant or important as something like that...

Also consider what this kind of money would get you in the way of Ferrari's and other nice stuff...;)

A car can only be "new" and unused once which makes this car unique. To some people paying 3 times the price of a tarted up shiny turd with an "interesting" history is a small premium for something that is irreplaceable.
