RE: Sunroof seal - growing mold

Hi all,

my sunroof seal seems to have a a green plant like mold growing on it - you can strap it off, but it all ways seems to return. Is there anyway of cleaning it off for good.

also can you easily remove the seal and replace it again with out damaging it??

ive used a small screwdriver in the past, just be carefull you dont slip and scratch your roof, its never came back for me.

2 options

one, jet wash/pressure washer

two, warm water with some cleaning agent int there and a toothbrush

Kos's 2nd option works well.

I've done it myself and the issue hasn't re-appeared.
It's easier with the trim removed.

Surfex diluted at 100:1, brush is the megs triple brush and work it in. Jet off.

Follow with AG cab roof treatment. Its a pain just doing that thin strip but does protect it very well.

i used thes aldi sponges that clean any surface.
i wetted it nd the green suff came straight off an never appeared again:D

I had a bad experience with using a power washer and the roof leaked in heavy rain after that
