The latch on the glove box on my E30 cabrio has broken inside and the glove box will not open. It's as if it is locked, (but it definitely isn't). Does anyone know how to get it open without damaging it or the surrounding dash panels? I have tried coaxing it with a screwdriver to pry it open but it doesn't want to know.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jason.

Undo the bolts behing the glove box which hold the hinge to the bulkhead, then you can drop the front enough to undo the screws for the catch plate.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....

As above, basically. I posted the full procedure in answer to a similar question about three weeks ago.
