Kumho v70 ecsta k21 soft

Has any one used the above tyers for track days , I have all ways used toyo r888 , any help on this would be good . Thanks

i've got a set, but the harder compound. never driven on 888's to compare

some say they seem more stable and better lasting than the 888's

only used kumho in hard but they are not as good as 888,s.

i think it coulde be dependant on your driving style, power output of the car and RWD/FWD

buy a set of Dunlop Direzza DZ02 or DZ03 and you never look at R888 again.
I had a used set of Kumho V70 in hard as well and they can't touch the Dunlops or the R888 on track. You want the Kumhos at least in Medium. They are stiffer than R888 IMO

Hi,

I've only used very soft V70s on a 205 Gti and they stuck like glue. Unbelivably good, as good if not better than the Dunlop X22 Super Soft Moulded slicks I moved onto. The down side is that the conventional block tread pattern on the V70 lets the tread move around a lot. They can get very hot and ware out very quickly (but they were the very soft ones best suited to hillclimbing).

If you dont drive on the road, look at the competition use only Dunlop Moulded Slick (it's called a slick but does have some tread pattern - see the pic of my old 205 - you can just make out the tread) Get the X22 Super Soft compound - very sticky, predictable slides, long lasting and they work in the wet because they are designed for rallying. The only thing they dont cope with is lots of standing water. I eventually blew my Mi16 motor due to oil surge in high speed corners - they grip that well!
