NEGATIVE

I tried to buy an Alpina Steering Wheel from this guy, PM'd him at 12.08am this morning saying I'd take the wheel and asking how would he like payment. He replied at 12.30am with his paypal address.

I toddled off to my bed, as her indoors has the password for the paypal account and was already asleep (I couldn't remember it). I went to work today and as soon as I came home, got access to my paypal account and made the payment. This was approximately 18 hours later.

I then get a PM from him about 6.30pm today telling me he has sold the wheel to someone else who had paid today. He also had time to dispatch the item. He did apologise but frankly, that doesn't cut it for me. When I say I'll pay for something, I'll pay for it. When someone asks to buy something from me, I keep it for them. This approach has served me well.

I have received a full refund.

At no point did the seller advise me of a timeline for payment or that his approach was first to pay as opposed to first to commit to pay gets the item.

I won't let this end up as a debate because I don't think it's worth the effort. I have all the evidence to support my position.

Draw your own conclusions.

I won't deal with this guy again.

as most of the people have wrote on this thread i am a good zoner and seller. in what way did you commit to buy? you said you would have the wheel and what are your payment details i sent you them if you were not going to pay there and then as your paypal password was not available why did you not pm to say ill make payment in the morning and i would have waited but not hearing anything from you and having a guy at 9.02am saying ill paypal the money now i took it and sent it out. as if you sell stuff on the zone you will know the amount of people who say "yeah ill take that mate whats your paypal?" and then you never hear from them again!

i will never reserve an item for some one who i have never dealt with or do not no well on the zone as the above poster. as there are to many people who mess about. somthing is not sold until paid for.

i have reserved items for people in this thread as i know they will pay me when they say they will.

to say ill have an item and then not give any info as to when your going to pay for it is not fair and personally i think the above feedback is not worthy of been on the feedback forum as:

i never ripped him off

gave him a full refund as soon as i got a pm saying he had paid dispite the fact i pm'd him earlyer today saying it was sold. he also said i should re-think sending it to the buyer. and a deals a deal.

i never said the item was reserved

he never bought anything off me.

maybe we should have a feedback forum "dibs before sale fourm" as am sure this would be the general topic!

as this is a feedback forum for sales on the zone not sales that fell through mainly becuase of lack of communication.
