It is made for the E30 M3 using the flanges and clips off the standard upper section of the BMW airbox. It is meant to use the M3 Sports Evo lower half

Since the lower half didn't fit in my car due to clashes with the radiator i was forced to make the lower half myself utilising the flange from an original.
This is what i ended up with





At the moment i have just got some silicon hose (45 degree tapered) for the entry to the lower airbox, will look to improve this later.
This setup uses a bigger panel size 318 x175x33 compared to the original 254x146x27
Dyno testing showed some improvements in the topend

Unfortunately my usual dyno place has new dynodynamics machine with new windows based system so i can't compare to my previous runs so this is sort of a new baseline.
There is only around 4rwkW peak to peak and in parts of midrange but past 5400 there is a noticeable difference of upto 10rwkW. You can see the difference in manifold pressure indicating that the pressure loss has been reduced.
