Hi, I am looking to lower my car 35mm front and back - however i do not want to turn it into a sporty stiff feel as the roads aren't the best here in ireland - has anyone eperience with a few different types that could reccomend a nice compromise - if its at all relevant i'm looking to run 16" wheels and i will be buying both the springs and shocks -
thanks
liam
need advice: who has tried a few spring/suspension types?

tricky question....
BMW spent millions of pounds in research and came up with M-tech suspension, which is only 15mm drop.
IMHO a 25mm drop is a good solution for real roads (it's what Hartge do), and you would only have to do the springs - look at the AVO website http://www.avouk.com/ , or Hartge obviously (if you have more spare cash!) http://www.birdsauto.com/
I have a 25mm drop and run 15" BBS or 16" Hartge wheels - both give excellent handling without being too 'hard'.
good luck!

well matey, have 16 inch wheels with all new suspension including new shocks and springs
i have h&r -35mm Ԛ£100
bilstein inverted type sport shocks, these are dangly bits and very expensive.
Now the ride is no worse than my slighly tired m-tech setup i took off.
m-tech is really good and a hard setup to beat, but i found it was a bit twitchy on the limits, i find the new setup has raised the bar for this. As in i would have to be going alot faster than i would want to on normal roads to reach these limits which in turn makes your blasts down your favourite roads alot more fun!
opps wondered off topic there
