Took the 3:6.4 off and put my 3:4.6 on yesterday, And what a difference. It feel's like I have gained 100% more traction. Before if I floored it in any gear it would just spin up. Now it is just powers through the gear's. Can still spin up in 2nd and third easy but I have to make it. Not gaind a huge amout at the top of each gear but enough to not worry about.

Recomend if you are m30, then find one of these diff's.

I've had one one there since day one of the conversion, Low revs too now winkeye .
You sould hit 90mph at about 3000rpm, saves fuel, not alot, but relaxed driving.

I went from 3.73 open to 3.69 LSD and it makes all the diffrence. The first thing I did after initial testing was a 20 meter number 11, childish I know but it put a big smile on my face! Probably burned 1000 miles off my tyres but who cares.

After some testing with the diff, My rear bearing's have now gone from a slight noise, to a change me quick grumble. This is the one job on an e30 that I hate. I actually might even get somone else to do it I hate it that much.

Wheel bearings? Loads easier to change the trailing arm for one with a 'known' good bearing

Ive got drivers side one up the shed waiting for if/when my bearing goes

Sure one of the fraggers has one, paid a tenner for mine about a year ago :D

Only want to do the job once fella's.

I have a very good friend with the correct tool for removal. I would rather have new bearing's now and know I have good arm's than change the trailing arm again in 6 months or a year. I will stip it he said he will do the bearing, And also putting new polly's in the outer rear subframe at the same time.

All happening tomorrow. Back on the road by sunday

Been using the sport this week and I think I will be looking for a decent donner later on in the year, It will have to become an m30 too. I know it's a 2.7 but it is gutless in comparison.
