Has anyone got experience of using the Maxsport RB5 moulded slick for circuit / trackday use. At about £ 67.00 its half the price of anything else and comes in a choice of 3 compounds. Any good ?

Very poor. Dry grip is OK at best, feel is terrible as is wet grip. Not a patch on R888 and now almost as expensive. I still have a set spare waiting to be wasted on a cheap airfield day.

Its half the price of a dunlop slick for a reason.

I bought a set from demon tweeks and regretted it. As with most things like this avoid if your on a seriouys budget.

It offers no more grip than a decent road tyre and as its a remould it weighs twice as much as one.

Mine also started to peel badly when they got hot. HTH

I've had them on an old car before. And in the dry I thought that they were very good. Never used them in the wet though. Wouldn't use them on the road though as they're a H rated tyre.
