hey mate bad luck,
this has just happened to my mate, he paid Ԛ£650 on ebay for what he though was a decent car but turned out to be a heap. i paid Ԛ£200 to him and its now my problem. although he was stopped driving home by the police as a tail light was out and it had a bald tyre.
previously i bought a 323i e30 on ebay, went the 300 miles to collect it and the car wasnt there. it had been lifted by dvla because it wasnt taxed ! (the add stated that it was).
just shows people are only on ebay to make a quick Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£ and dont care about honesty or cars for that matter.
im fed up viewing cars that have had work "bodged" and the seller thinking its mint.
Ebay is full of d**ks!!

dude thats crap
so sorry to hear that you got fukked about,
the pics made the car look smart-obviously they were well touched up
as for anyone else considering bidding on ebay-i'd advise you to get the seller to take close up pics of the common rust spots, if they wont, walk away

if I were you, i'd get a decent low mileage touring without a kit and spend some moolah making it mint, then put on the tech 2 kit-that way you know that its solid.
Ԛ£1500 should see you with a solid 325i touring, mot/tax and leather.
Ԛ£250 for the LSD (kids like sideways
Ԛ£700 for the tech 2 kit and spraying
one happy owner

I always buy my cars a half at a time.- A nice tidy unmolested immaculate touring, and then a rough high spec 325 with as many whistles and bells as possible - then merge.

who cares what colour it is? Twiggy-u gotta be sensible here
the e30 aint a new car-you cant order one with your exact spec.
trick is to find a solid shelled one and spec it up from there.like I said before, be realistic
Ԛ£3k would get you a mint touring
Ԛ£1200+ for the car
Ԛ£250 for LSD
Ԛ£300-500 for leather
Ԛ£1100 for tech 2 kit
and voila-gotta work at it. my 320 touring is a bit away from where i want it, but it is SOLID

thing is here fella's its gonna be my day car too, at the end of the day i need my car on the road rather than off the road doing all the mods etc.... i would love to buy an e30 garage it and mod it but i just dont have the time or the money to play with at this moment in time.. really gotta be what i want so i can atleast drive it. red cars just bring me bad luck, must admit ive never had a red e30 but i still dont like the colour 1 bit. i want a decent touring silver is a must but i know its gonna be hard but i can hold out... black would be my second choice but i can also do with it having all of the gadgets inside too.

It's a real pity that the Touring was a bad as that. Not what you wanted at all. Next time, would it mabye be an idea to get a fellow zoner to have a look at your next potential buy (if it's too far away) before wasting time, nerves and money ? This is what I did with my current Touring. Aauser went ( very kindly ) to have a look at her and it turns out the car was cracker, so I spent 2 days travelling and a good Ԛ£200 in travelling costs picking her up. Could you imagine if she'd been a nail and had gotten nobody to check it out for me !! I would have been well p1ssed off.....and skint.
I know this wont help on this occasion, but the great thing about this site is that we all share a common love for all things E30, and I don't think that anyone on the zone would like to see a fellow zoner struggling. Anyway, best of luck next time !!
Cheers
