The tow bar isnt a problem, it can be removed, over here people put on tow bars even if they will never tow anything. The reason is if some one hits you from the back like in traffic or something, there is more damage done to the guy who hit you than your car.
Just a thought.

body looks a bit rough, in general...scratches, paint, scuttle, rear bumper, etc...
However, it is a "no-sunroof" shell and would make a good base for a racing/track-day car

Thats not true in bullsh!t britain, i hit someone at 5mph in an old car of mine into a car with a tow bar and i apparently did Ԛ£800

of damage but there wasnt a scratch on mine! It happening to me so young on my "driving career" has given me no faith in insurance which i basically see as a very expensive piece of paper. Oh i did contest it but i basically got ignored

problem is that most new cars have "crumple zones " front and rear. if the towbar is attached onto them then it wil concentrate the force of the blow onto them and cause lots of damage.
as for the m3-if it wtays below Ԛ£1500 it'll be a goodun-get it and rag it to death

He doesnt even mention the scuttle panel. And thats a heavy hit to get replaced! Anything from 500 upwards!
As above, without the chassis no. I cant tell if its a 215 car.
If its less than 5,500 its worth it otherwise I wouldnt bother.

if someone hits you from behind and you have a tow bar just think about were the towbar is mounted could end up twisting the car then your fcuked

i dont see the problem with the tow bar myself.
surely if its ok to run one as an only / everyday car, then its also ok to add a towbar.
if it shud be kept in tip top condition then it shudnt be used as an only /everyday car.
u cant have it both ways guys.

Depends what hes towing too. I bet its not a Caravan. Maybe a pair of jetskis/MX bikes?
