Kam, would you mind resizing that avatar? It is massive! 800px × 600px and over 80kB file size. Avatars are meant o be only 150x150.

I'd probably use my touring more than anything else, I use it for work and general messing about around town.

The E46 diesel gets used for doing long stuff and when I fancy a change from driving E30's.

The sport comes out when I feel like it, I work shifts so if I fancy a spin in the morning for some entertainment then I whip it out of the garage and go and play.

Used to... but I do a lot of miles these days, and I decided a second car would work out better all round. E36 wrongness ATM!

Is it my daily? Of course! Rain, shine, snow, hail etc etc. E30s were meant to be driven - not looked at / tucked away in garages.

Should hit 250 000 miles this year :D

Mine is used every day as a sales rep chariot. It's won me some business too!

I love rolling round in a car thats older than me and when this one dies i'll probably get another.

Been using mine daily since I had it, even used it through the snow we had and because it did so well I awarded it the German iron cross for bravery lol

Getting a company car soon if all goes well and the E30 will then become a toy on a limited miles classic policy

Mine is a daily but I make sure that it is regularly washed in winter to get rid of any salt etc. My brother managed to rack up 2000 miles on my iS in a couple of weeks before I even had the chance to drive it!

mine is used all the time, tbh with 245k on the clock its a bit used and abused but it has been a joy to drive , even with the bad weather. its not as tail happy as my sierra which is now off the road ,so the e30 will be the everyday car for a while longer until it is done then i'll swap them over.. :)

Mine is a daily hack too, even in the snow with it's open diff it didn't get stuck and is a regular at the local jet-wash this time of year.

Even the GF likes it, although she's too scared of it to have a go at driving  (she's used to the pace that her uncles 1.0 Micra serves up)

Last year it got just 1 advisory at MOT time for 1 corroded brake pipe, they have all been replaced since but the bodywork is getting ready for a good seeing to...

Me too, but I've not driven mine for well over a month! 8O

Tempted to get another E30 for the daily grind, but then I'd end up 'just improving a few bits'... At least I can leave the E36 alone(ish) & it does make the E30 seem even more fun.

Certainly my main car, but not every day.
If I'm driving to work, E30 everytime, if my wife is driving, she'll take her E46 or the Jeep.
I usually drive :)

I was thinking the same as i know i will want to drive it even more when i get it back from having its conversion. Might try and find myself a touring later in the year.

mines a daily driver too...exactly what i needed. i only travel 5miles to work and back and had a z4m bankrupting me (although beautiful). i wanted to get a cheap run around and decided to go back to my roots!! had a 1990 dolphin grey sport 13 years ago, and have found a virtually identical one about 3 months ago....result! drives better than any other car for the money, solid as a rock and no hassle. love it :D

mines a daily, it will be getting some repair work to the front end and some paint correction and then i will be straight back out there for another 50k of abuse.

its nothing special and its never going to be worth a fortune, its just a loved turd, so i intend to use it and use it hard.

in fact im going to now, 1 ticket on the e30 express to neath please.

My 320i auto is an all-weather machine. If I can get it fixed, it will return to that position till it dies again.

The 325i is a project car, and will be a fun car. It would a true pain in the ass if I would have to drive it as a daily. So for the weekends it will be :D

No I used my 24v when I had it but it's easier to jump in the golf and go places don't have to worry about jealousy stripes and tools in shopping parks wrecking it. It's for sale soon anyway

I'm sure someone ran a poll with the same question just a few months ago.

My E30's a daily. 365x a year! :D
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

My 320i does about 200km a week, and even fires up first time in this weather, when it was minus 25 in my garage overnight! Got to admit though, warming up in that temp does make it even more thirsty on fuel than usual...

Mine is a daily, even a couple of days in the snow .... but the route I cover is all main roads and no untreated road. Even so, once I got used to it, it only took a moments lack of concentration and instead of spinning wheels like a front wheel drive turd the rear would snap like a good'un ... but as long as your on it, it snaps right back when you drop the clutch. Thankfully I never had any stuck on a hill moments 8O

... but it did take 7 people to push me out the car park :D

73% daily drivers so far and a few engine conversion heroes among you! :D
give yourselves a pat on the back

i don't care about the devaluation of driving it, the fun i get is worth more than that. it's like my own personal heirloom, my 5 year old son already has eyes on it and ideas for what he's like to do to it 'when' it's his! :D

to me it's priceless, though in reality it's more likely to be worthless! i couldnt give a stuff what it 'could' be worth if i garaged it, there's too much fun to be had on every journey for that!
