What gearbox????
Why not pick a bmw engine that is meant to drive the right wheels?

if its the passat engine it can be fitted with a cossie box and the sump needs no moddifying anyway, only thing to change would be the oil pump as there shiteDezzy wrote:What gearbox????

can still use an e30 diff and yeah custom prop possibly cossie front and 325 rear

Is this a 1.4 tsi? I can't think of any other supercharged audi off the top of my head.

its from the audi a4. he likes to be difficult. he bought a shite estate subaru and tuned it out its nut just to piss off his boss who had a rally spec scooby. funny as when he turned up in it with the shitest home paint job and a bhp printout. nut job. but he is an genius when it comes to this sort of thing.

vag 1.8t then easy job passat sump, bellhousing to take a ford type 9 box of the shelf the rest is fabrication

The type 9 box is an agricultural beast now though. I remember my xr4i felt like you were trying to ingauge a plough or something to get in reverse. Couyld you not use an MT75 like they do on the boa/bob cosworth conversions?

Any box that fits a type 9 bolt pattern which i think the mt75 does plus a whole owrld of aftermarket boxes and ratio's
