my old mans mate has one rotting on his drive. its got loads of rare shit on it, electric buffalo seats front and rear, pretty sure its got its own head unit and stuff in the rear too. been a long time since i seen it but it was a nice car.
he reckons he could still save it but by the time he gets round to it it will be too far gone IMO.

These really aren't my cup of tea. They always look "droopy" to me
The equivilent Merc from that time is far nicer, albeit a more generic shape

I agree. I never liked this shape; it just seems a half-arsed effort. My dad used to drive one as a company car and absolutely hated it.

Wrong, the 126 merc was in a different league to an E23 in every way. Until the advent of the E32, the 7 was totally outclassed by the S class.

A mate of mine has a 728 under blankets in his unit, it hasnt moved for over 20 years and has 16,000 miles on the clock. Its near enough 'as new' apart from some dusty bits!

I had a 733i manual years ago, I loved it, it would out drag a 325i sport from a standing start in a straight line!Bob_S wrote:my mates got a manual 733i in primrose yellow.. what a tank.
