Cost me AUS$55 for the wheel (pretty tatty) and AUS$100 (about 50 quid) for the recover.
An added advantage that the new leather was covered over the old which makes the grip thicker - a good enhancement! Could also have had the wheel stitched in M colours.

Here,s the Tech 1 wheel i restored. Just varying degrees of
sandpaper, a coat of Black Glyptone, then several coats of liquid
shoe polish. Really wish i had pics of the wheel before, i would,nt
of been able to give it away.

Looks the biz, I've picked up a tec1 off Ebay for £3.20, what a bargain, it did have a bit of loose stitching, I restitched the entire top half tonight, didn't take that long, its in pretty good nick, with the sandpaper what grade did you use?gooner1 wrote:Here,s the Tech 1 wheel i restored. I've ordered some black leather balm to redye it, thought I'd do this then once dry give it a couple of coats of Glipton liduid leather, if it turns out anything like yours i'll be very happy. Just out of interest it has E28 stamped in it, please tell me this will also fit my cabby!!!!!!!
