I somehow think that will go a bit higher than the 3000 to 5000 estimate.

I'm not sure their data is actually correct. Being no 404 and having electric windows, it's one of the later ones which I'm sure i've read somewhere that BMW did away with a lot of the lightening of panels etc, in order to save money to be able to add the trinkets such as elec windows etc.

Mr Everett?? your thoughts please mate?

However, for me, it's the right colour, right spec, it's on the early Alpinas and jesus, if it went for 3 grand I'd be interested.

Funnily enough, when Adrian (clarko74) was round saturday, a white 3.0csi drove past and we both drooled a touch. I love these with a vengeance!

That will go for a lot more than 3k, nice ones are making £25 + . Obviously to make a barn find rusty poobox into a sorted 25k chariot will probably cost 25k but as we know that will not stop a hero bidding 7/8k for it.
Golf yellow is one of the best colours on these, if I wasn't so stocked up with frag I would be moist ! All UK cars had the 'city pack' which included electric windows and proper bumpers. IIRC all CSLs had alloy doors, bonnet and boot and(with the obvious exception of Geoffs  ) thinner gauge steel used on the roof/wings etc.

CSL values are creeping up, and really, really good ones are doing 40 grand. It's one of those cars that's been undervalued for a long time and its time has come.
A fantastic project with great provenance. All the right bits seem to be there so if you could do it yourself, it might not cost too much to do. Unlike a logbook rebuild you haven't got to find all the bits.

£5000 would possibly cover the parts bill.

Sorted for you. £5000 will barely cover the paintwork.

Come on, a bit of T-cut on the paint and a splash of Solvol on the wheels would surely double its value? winkeye
