i visited the zone tech1 totton branch this weekend.
right, time for a clean you dirty b17ch!:


soaked in engine degreaser:

this little clean-up went from a quick jet-wash to ripping out the old scorpion alarm and trying to sort out the central locking and interior lights!
my car was in bits in minutes. glove box off (oh look, some rust holes, i can see daylight up through to the wiper motor ), fuse box moved, door cards off. still, you have to break eggs to make omelettes

oh look, another one!

sorry chaps. my daughter took the (her) laptop with her when she went to uni, my PC was in for repair/update with Mr.Hartge, i've been doing the car (as above), lots on my house and back down the gym at long last a few evenings a week too!

i jump-started her today (first time for a few weeks), right on the button and couldn't resist a quick "blast round the block". oh, the pleasure (no offence old audi coupe friend of mine but honestly....). can't wait to get all the xmas/new year b/s out of the way (baa, humbug) and crack on with an excellent E30 season in the sport

guess what? she moved today. after being sat outside for the last couple of months, i actually drove her. joy! she went to "the shop" tonight, ready to have the rear quarters primed and painted

she should be ready for collection thursday/friday

then it's replace the fuel pipe shield in the o/s/r arch, re-underseal the arches (over the overspray), refit the liners, refit the skirts, refit the x-spokes (which i took off today and swapped with some old bottletops for the bodyshop. i cleaned the x-spokes and had a good result- it looks like under the brake dust/road grime they have all been refurbished - all nice and silver and shiny ), clean behind and refit the front and rear bumper/spoilers.......etc.....etc....then the work on the interior begins

i can't believe that i'll actually be driving an E30 at the next meet unusual i know, but is that ok chaps?

yes, i know: but they shall follow in due course

oh BTW: because i'm insured on the audi at the mo, and didn't want to risk getting done for no insurance, i went on-line and got a day's ins. through temp car cover.com, simple as, £26
better than a £400 fine and 6 points i reckon!
