Good on yer Richy! I'm doing mine next month, while I got the 'head off. You chipping yours as well??
UK spec '20's should have been de-restricted from new, IMHO. Don't see why we should have been lumbered with a "euro tax/insurance evasion special" when it don't apply to us.

the only reason i said it was because i have a 325i inlet and tb sitting here, and it would save time

The '25 ports are bigger, consequently the runners on the '25 manifold are bigger. If you use the '25 manifold, the ports in the 'head will need opening out to suit.BrAdZ wrote:why dont people fit the 325i inlet manifold too?
Also, there's probably an issue with loss of gas velocity due to the bigger runners in the mani. This would loose you power, possibly cancelling out the gain from the bigger TB altogether.
Usual rules apply here, if I'm wrong on this and anyone can put me right, humility will be the order of the day.

hi guys, just out of curiosity !
If one puts an 325 intake manifold KIT on a 320 block, will it need new electical harness, plugs n sockets etc.,
are the electrical wirings in 325 mani is same as in 320?
================
I just transplanted a 325 engine block in my 320 car. Every thing else is original 320.
Now I am thinking to put a 325 intake manifold set, but I was told the electicals are different in 325 Mani, I just want to confirm.
TQ/cheers

eliot you need the 325 boot cos the 320 one wont fit on the 325 throttle body

I have a 325i tb sitting here, went to fit yesterday but realised i needed new gaskets, and a bigger "boot" and then someone posted you need to file out the inlet manifold :S

there are 3 types of rubber boots , 2 dependant on what shape icv is fitted ( L or T shape ) 1 whether it connects to the servo pipes or not !!
