So the first Midlands meet this year will be at the Toby Carvery in Coventry? Is that right?

I doubt 20-30 cars will turn up tbh, there is the hardcore meet attenders of about 5-6 and then it just varies.
Maybe have a limit to the number of cars or summat

Pretty sure there was well over 20 cars at both the Toby Carvery meets I went to last Year - with a few more who came and went in addition to those who hung around.ImysE30 wrote:I doubt 20-30 cars will turn up tbh, there is the hardcore meet attenders of about 5-6 and then it just varies.

i thought it was a shocking place far too small, everone has their dinner there on a sunday so car park gets rammed..ImysE30 wrote:I would think so Ollie, it's a location that the regulars know wellOllie_bwoii wrote:So the first Midlands meet this year will be at the Toby Carvery in Coventry? First meet we had there was fine - loads of space - I think the last one just happened to be a busy one for the sunday lunch brigade.safedave wrote:i thought it was a shocking place far too small, everone has their dinner there on a sunday so car park gets rammed..ImysE30 wrote:I would think so Ollie, it's a location that the regulars know wellOllie_bwoii wrote:So the first Midlands meet this year will be at the Toby Carvery in Coventry? Another alternative is the Harvester at the Bassetts Pole roundabout on the A38 between Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield - a few of us met there at the way to one of the meets and there was another BMW meet ( mainly E36's ) on already that we didn't know about - If the pub is "meet friendly" it could be a good alternative venue and is dead easy to get to.
Just thought as well - for east mids Zoners a dead easy location for everyone to get to would be Tamworth services on the M42 - not much scenery but tons of parking
As for dates I'm not fussed - Sundays generally I like to laze about and do nothing but Saturdays could also be an option - might get some people out of being dragged round the shops ??

Whats the point of parking all over the place, everybody wants to park together, otherwise it becomes very disjointed with cars parked here and there.Ollie_bwoii wrote:Ever heard of making do with where ever you can park? Its not limited to just the bays.
We need to get one place sorted and stick too it, none of this messing around, its just going around in circles, make a decision and stick too it, if zoners want to come they will, if it carries on like this it will be April and nothing will get sorted.
You dont see the southern boys fu*king about, its at Guildford in the same place, thats the venue, live with that or dont go, simple.
Its not rocket science

No I meant what if 2 cars parked in the bays, and then one in front of them?
Does that make sense?

Have been here quite alot for food etc, its only 5 miles from my house. Car park is always quite full, not much room for double parking/across bays etc.Ollie_bwoii wrote:No I meant what if 2 cars parked in the bays, and then one in front of them?

it'll just annoy the Pub, plus you just know some "stiff" using the pub will end up scraping their french turd down somebodies mint E30
