I agree that it does look a lot like Mauritius (Alex wrote:looks like maritus blue(???? think thats the spelling)

And the red version of seat fabricbeemerbird wrote:I agree that it does look a lot like Mauritius (Alex wrote:looks like maritus blue(???? think thats the spelling)) blue. Maybe in fact the 'Neon Violet' was a Daytona Violet painted car with 'neon' interior styling. The fabric pattern is an identical (but violet) version of the green version in Daimlerman's cabby, for instance.
Would be interesting to know. . . .

The M30 powered 210bhp Alpina B6 2.8 was made is relatively large numbers with over 200 LHD ones being produced at it was developed to sit in the middle of the 170bhp C1 2.3 and the 260bhp B6 3.5 and was dropped not in '85 due to the iminent release of the C2 2.7.bmwsport wrote:Now that is interesting, it seems the 2.8 M30 option was a rare thing in any form, was this because the bang to buck ratio was stronger for the 3.5 M30 as the conversions nearly cost the same and involved a similar amount of work? It would be nice to know if there is any more of my car knocking about too but as we know getting information from Hartge is like platting pee pee...bss325i wrote:We already have the rarest!bss325i wrote:The rarest official BMW E30 i can think of is the RHD Alpina B6 2.8, only 1 ever made!

They came in several colors and specific interior fabric, was only 316i & 318i and i guess only LHD.Alex wrote:And the red version of seat fabricbeemerbird wrote:I agree that it does look a lot like Mauritius (Alex wrote:looks like maritus blue(???? think thats the spelling)) blue.
