Someone suggested going to the dealer to get the diff oil.
I rang up my dealer and asked, they said i had to book it into the service dept. The diff was out of the car, was i supposed to book the rear axel in?

And another thing, does every BMW dealer take THREE days to order parts in??
Ford have them next morning (So i'm told)

Castrol sell LSD oil...think it's 351 (on the tin).

I used it in my 02 racer with 40% locking diff and had no problems

Every obscure, minor part I have ever ordered for an E30 from my local dealer (Westerley, Barnstaple), has arrived by 8.30am the next working day.

Ford won't be able to supply parts for a 15 year old car next day.

If parts are taking three days, they're probably coming from Germany; doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

Williams BMW got me everything I needed for my '82 E21 in three days; I'll bet if you go to Ford for parts for a 1982 XR2 they'll just laugh.

The mechanics I have been to have got a lot of parts for me by the next day. Not dealers either, just normal mechanics. One of them got the parts for my 4.1LSD overnight which I thought would have been difficult. If I wanted parts that had to come from Germany I imagine they would take a while like kidsinister said.
