awesome thread. The morcels fitted to mine on purchase;

Illuminated Gear Knob
Boot Liner
Grey Glove Box
Grey centre console.

Think thats pretty much it, although i am looking to add more options from the OEM list.

If its the same as my old E36 its the key that lets them unlock a door but not the boot.

Really ? When the E30 was our only car and before I changed the locks my wife's key wouldn't open the boot.... I'll tell her later that she's my chauffeur....

Then I'll post a pic of me with a black eye :?

That seems really bizarre to me. If I had a Chauffeur, I'd at least want the fecker to load / unload my boot for me. He'd have no chance of driving my car, but should certainly be put to this good use.

I thought about that, but then if it's really a key for valet parking services then it does make sense.

You don't want to stop for lunch at the restaurant and have the valet parking monkey riffling through your Kensington High St shopping now do you ? 8)

That makes a lot more sense. Imagine the horror of handing over you keys to find that your Fortnum and Mason's hamper is bare on your return.

Your E30 should have come with four keys: Three master keys - one with a plastic head and a push button light, one with the plastic head and no light, known as the spare key and one with a very small, triangular head, known as the duplicate key, and intended to be stowed away somewhere, like in a wallet, for emergency use.
The fourth key should be all metal with an oval head, and is known by the imaginative name of the "door and ignition" key. It should not fit the glovebox or boot.

thats not factory, thats just a window switch thats been wired up to the ignition barrel via a relay, thats all iv done on the project car so i can turn it over as many times as i like without switching the ecu off.

iv got two ariels on my touring as well, iirc its somthing to do with a mobile phone kit, most of which is still fitted.

iv also go no sunroof and no ac on my touring, is that suposed to be unusual?
(think id rater have no sun roof, its only good about 3 days of the year and my roof wont rot out!)

Not a rare item, but only two days ago did notice that if the rear demister is on,and you then turn the headlights on,the demister light dulls to about half the brightness.

And no my battery isn't shot!

Only took 7 years to notice that!

yep, thats suposed to happen, my obc and any warning lights are brighter in the day so you can see them in the higher levels of ambiant light and when you turn the lights on they dim down to a night mode where there the same level as the dash.
