Each to their own but I always associate it with French cars for some reason, think they used to have yellow as standard over there but am only guessing....

I would lightly smoke them or leave them but it's your car dude you do what you want to do with it, hope it goes well :thumb:

My bro took his headlights apart on his golf and lightly dusted the inside of the lense, he works in a body shop and obviously has too much time on his hands... Not sure if that's the done thing or not, someone else may know? Failing that if you see any car out and about with smoked lights I'd just ask them what they did

Yellow headlights look seriously cool.

When France removed their law requiring yellow headlights in around 1989, BMW was one of the last makes to start using clear lenses again, and so you see E30s and E32/E34s right up to '94 with the yellow headlights.

Ebay France is a great place to get yellow headlights.

Look very good on a white E30. And the light they give is actually very good for night time driving (hence the idea of having yellow headlighst in the first place!)

I'm tempted for the fogs...I think it would suit a white car. :o:

Any pics on a white car?

I find E30.de the best tbh. Flickr has some very good photo's as well. Alpina archieve is good too.

I suppose it does help I have nearly 3000 images of chromie 2 and 4 doors alone. :o:

Problem of buying yellow lamps from Europe is they'll be European pattern not UK pattern.
Yellow lamps on an MOT are fine so long as both sides match ie two yellow dip and/or two yellow main. So as shown in this thread you can have just yellow dip and white main lamps.
Or vice versa. :D

There are places on ebay and the autoshite website that sell yellow H1 bulbs. :D

There is no difference between Euro and UK E30 headlights, all you need to do is undo the 3 screws on the back of the dipped light swivel it clockwise or counterclockwise to switch between LHD and RHD positioning.
