I would like to put a flat surface down in the drivers foot well of the car. I’m not sure what material to use or how to go about it?

how about some thin MDF dude ? you could coat it both sides with rubberised anti slip paint then just pack to height and bolt in place.
alternative is fab from steel and weld in, or chequerplate and rivets ?

second that. Stay away from chequer plate. Once wet it's like an ice rink.RPM wrote:I'd avoid anything flamable
I used some 2mm ally sheet, cut and bent to fill the footwell perfectly and welded at the joins
I then covered it with antislip, you can buy lengths off metre rolls very cheaply
Skateboard grip tape works well but only one season. but cheap to replace.

you are absolutely right. I use it on the pedals as well. Brings the face of the brake pedal more in line with the throttle fo better heel and toeDan320is wrote:Skateboard grip tape is brilliant on the pedals aswell.UweM3 wrote:second that.
