My mint 1992 cab was sitting there, looking as good as it left the showroom in its brilliant red paintwork with 30k miles. I'd just finished polishing it.
A casual caller to the door selling tarmac drives said "If that car gets a problem for you, give me a call 'cos I'd probably give you more than the scrappy would"
He wasn't joking either. Thanks mate!

At the petrol pump, finished filling up and went in to pay. Because of the way the station is I ended up being sandwiched between two cars that were still filling up.
Looked to the rear and spotted there was a gap and I could reverse back and out I go, the only thing stopping me was the owner had his door open. So, I asked whilst I was out of the car for to close the door so I wouldn't damage it.
His response, 'the petrol that I'm putting into my car is worth more than the car you are driving'. To say that I was taken aback was an understatement!

Its a sad reality that 99% of people look at e30's as scrap metal. When i had my M3 i lost count of people offering me £500 for it or asking 'why have you bothered with a bodykit on that old car'

The other day at work some stupid little 17 year old girl was talking to the other chef and he was saying that I was about to leave... She replied, 'Does Jim drive then?' My mate said, 'Yeah, his is that classic Beemer outside", she followed with, 'Ergh, how embarrassing!'...
WHAT?! You dirty little tart... She got a Ford Ka for christmas and she thinks its better...
I hope she crashes...

I drove into work in my Fiat Coupe for the first time in a couple of years and the nanny looked at it, looked at me and said "But you don't drive a sports car! You've got that old wreck!"
There's very little point explaining to someone that shallow that the E30 is a better car in every way except for outright speed and impressing dizzy tarts.

Can't say anyone has ever said anything negative about my E30. All the comments I've received have been very complimentary as people appreciate seeing something different on the road.

I've had a few ask me "whats next, kids?" upon seeing the touring. Good friend from Holland loved the car though and could see the practicallity of it over a coupe/4 door.

My mates are like this. Anything with more than 70,000 miles on it and older then 3 yrs old is a wreck in their opinion.
But who do they ring for a lift or a tow when their poncy motors break down? that's right, ME.

I was showing my car to a couple of mates since I had just got it. One of my mates turns around and says "yeah it's nice but why didn't you just add a few hundred and buy a clio?"......
But what does he know!

After I heard him say that I locked the car up and started a conversation on something else cause I knew he didn't have a clue.
But majority of people like it and appreciate it for what it is. I mean it is a pretty cool 1st car

Its a 60/40 drop but with the M30 hanging over the nose its more like 65-70 at the front
0-60 i dont know its running a 3.64 diff, also i launch it in second as first gear just lights the tyres up,
Ive read on here someone timed one at 5.7 seconds
e30.de reckon 6 seconds (if you can get traction)
