We are looking for E30 owners of any model/variant etc for a meet up we are trying to organise for early next year. I'll post the original post from the thread to give you an idea.

I think it might be a stretch to get the different chasis for all of the below i.e. 2 dr / 4 dr / touring / convertibles

E30
------------------
316 (Carb)
316i
318i
318is
320
320is
320 SE
325i
325i SE
325i Sport
325ix
M3
M3 Evo 1
M3 Evo 2

They wouldn't have to be original cars but as long as they look standard ish I reckon that would be fine. Not like a purple E30.

It would make a great photo shoot. Perhaps we could also have the engine swap area too catering for the rest of us.

What do you all reckon?
It has moved on from the 1st post a little. The idea has kinda evolved into trying to get 1 of every engine, model, body style, tuned, engine swaps, basically anything thats an E30.

Jozi started a google doc, which can be found here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...nSnk1OEE&hl=en , to keep track of the different E30 for the meet.

Hope some of you can help fill the blanks and add more to the already filed spots. The more cars the better.

The thread on E30owners can be found here: http://www.e30owners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7841

Shaping up nicely now with most models.

Only short some Hartges, baurs now and some V8 or V12 engined E30s for the engine swap section :D

We aren't sure yet on a location. Actually, we're looking for suggestions if you know anything?

It's probably going to end up no to far from Dublin, easier for those of you coming over from across the pond.

When is the zone roam?

We're looking at March/April depending on the venue being available.

We're still not 100% on a venue either, there's a few idea for that one of them being Mondello race track.

Mondello is too complicated to be honest...

The zone roam is in March.

BUMP

We're well on our ways to having 1 car for each model, still looking for more cars! The more the better!

Hoping to decide on a venue over the next few weeks, dates will follow then.

TBMW has been contacted and said they will send someone over for the meet to cover it.

Bit of an update.
BazE30 wrote:Hi Everyone,

Again thanks to all so far for putting their name down and for all suggestions so far. I reckon with the numbers that Mondello is out. I checked the area that we were being allocated and its not ideal really. We would either have to pay a large sum of money to get the track area for the day (but we're not) so would have to go for an unbooked half day freebie at the back of the circut.

Hence Nutts Corner, however, its just too far out of the way for most.

Osprey Hotel & Hodson are nice places but are far too boring and quite difficult to facilitate large amounts of vehicles plus access isn't great for a great photo back drop either so it would have been in their car park which is not great either as the last little meet there had a wedding reception on too.

Which leaves the remaining two options on our list.

Powerscourt & Russborough.

I'm going to contact both these tomorrow morning and see what are their arrangements would be and can they factilitate us and which dates can they offer so as not to clash with weddings if any etc...

Any preferences anyone? Powerscourt is mine so far because I haven't been there before. I'll let you know tomorrow how I get on.

We'll have a date and location set by the weekend

Again thanks Jozi and others for their help with this meet.
Hope some of you can make it :thumb:

Jozi

EDIT: Can someone confirm the date for the zone roam? We'll try make sure it doesn't clash with it.

Zone Roam is April '10,
Two back to back roams based on a large country house near Jedburgh,in the Scottish Borders.
Roam 1;
17-20 Apr '10
Roam 2;
20-24 Apr'10
At this moment we still have rooms available on both trips, please contact me for further details or read through the 'Zone Roam' thread.
Depending upon date/location/time required off work,I too may be interested in an Irish trip.
Could bring either an M50'd touring or a Neon Green Design cabbie...

Thanks for the info Daimlerman. I doubt very much I'll be heading over for the roam, busy year in college for me this year.

We'd me more than delighted to have you over for the meet, very few cabby's on the list so far but M50 touring would be nice to.

I'll post updates when we have something sorted and keep the roam dates in mind so it doesn't clash.

I was just talking to Baz, he's going to give the few suggested place a call tomorrow. Early April might happen, we'll see when he posts up with dates.

Looks like you've got a nice pair there. Washing it in Ireland I take it, drive over will have it destroyed.

There's a poll on e30owners at the min and so far April 24th / 25th seems to be the preferred date, which clashes with the 2nd zone roam.

2 Location have gotten back to Baz and Russborough (pics in one of the 1st posts) are avail any sat/sun and Cartonhouse more than likely on Sundays, maybe Saturday, nothing heard yet from the 3rd location.

Just an update to say the date is nearly confirmed to be Sunday May 9th.

There has been a change of location to Tulfarris Hotel, not far from the other venue we were hoping to get (they had a fire recently)

Map here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 4&t=h&z=14

Hope we can get some of you to coem over for this :thumb:

This is shapping up quite nicely.

We've got a few raffle prizes donated to us for this as well as one or two trade stands present on the day.

There we'll over 50 cars confirmed, anything from 316's, sports, M3, Alpina's and various engines swaps. We're still short Hartge cars if anyone wants to fill that slot winkeye (I think there's talk about one being trailored from NI but not confirmed yet).

Best thing to do would be to keep a eye on the threads over on E30owners :thumb:

Hope there's a few of you considering to make it over!
