yeh mines still got loads of life left in her she drives like a good'n
but no service history though
could i maybe track some down as it has only had 3 owners i know 1 of them might have it but maybe use bmw could they help?
More chance by looking at the previous owner on the log book maybe? BMW/DVLA would probably scream "data protection blah blah blah"

100k is nothing, it's just halfway to possibly needing a re-build if it's been looked after !

Nothing like halfway! I have a M20 and a M50 in daily use both of which have covered well over double that, and both perform as new delivering the power they should, and using very little oil between changes.e30topless wrote:100k is nothing, it's just halfway to possibly needing a re-build if it's been looked after !
A bit of vanos 'growl' on the M50 when it's hot, but otherwise, both are perfect.
my 318i is on 155k. i have all paper work since it came out of the factory as far as i can see. runs sweet so far

I look upon it as finally knowing that ALL the parts on the car are in perfect working order.matt_320i wrote:![]()

266K on our touring, just had another engine in there mind as its quicker than replacing the guides on the old one
had an E36 M550 325i with 196K no issues atall and still going strong 2 years after it was served.
BMW build + good servicing = long lived chariots

..there was a minty mint bronzit E30 at the garage last time I went over there. The owner bought it with something like 20K miles on it
Although it looked fantastic, he'd had quite a few problems with it because of lack of use. It's now up to 70K I think, I guess these cars were designed to be driven at the end of the day..
