Been offered a matching price for fully fitted set of tyres

I am looking to run 205/50/16 on front and 225/50/16 rears and have been offered a matching price but which are better?

Hankook Ventus K102 or Falken VE 512

I was going for the Falken but wondered how people find Hankook.

There both budgets so there won't be much in it, I would say Falken are maybe slightly better and will probably have a better looking tread pattern.

225 /50 /16 on the rear will up your gearing significantly and do you no favours acceleration wise, stick to a 225/45 on the rear.

Shouldn't I match that with the front? otherwise the front will be higher than the rear surely!

205/50 and 225/50 will be slightly different heights as the Profile is a percentage of the width.

So 205/50/16 for the fronts (7js) and 225/45/16 (8js) for the rear?

Need to get this right before I go tyre shopping!

falken zeemax 512 225/45/16 should be Ԛ£50 each.

falken are good if underated and hankook are utter crap

like pete said 45 profile on the rear, the car won't look silly u won't notice
