Are you kidding...?

We've just sold Dad's project '71 '02... it's getting picked up tomorrow.

Sorry!

Give my Father a ring on 01507 605030 - tell him Giles (that's me, his son!) sent you.

The buyer is trying to wriggle out of the deal at the moment, so it's potentially available again.

The body is superb, having just had a complete resto... new brakes, fuel/brake lines, 13" BBS alloys and new tyres, etc... It's a rolling shell with the rest of the car in boxes!

It's a fixed price of £2000, so if you want to pay less, then I wouldn't bother phoning him!

Yeah, it was the Granada Red '02 - he pulled it from eBay as he thought he had sold it.

Give him a bell... he's just taken some new pics of it this morning and he'll be able to e-mail them to you...

Cheers,

Giles

That is beyond scrap I'm afraid. I bought a breaker two years ago, in far better condition than that.

Have you looked at www.bmw2002.co.uk ?

I got accosted by a car park attendant at Sainsbury's the other day, who wanted to stop & chat about the soarer. We got chatting about old skool metal (he had a Lada fetish) and I mentioned E30's. He said he had a 2002 tii he wanted a grand for, but I would have no idea of how to contact him again other than to "cruise" the car park :)

Dad's is a '71 2002 Ti - round rear lights.

It also came with some super cool period Recaros as well as the standard interior. They are pretty shot but would be ace once re-trimmed (was thinking about using them myself)... and it came with twin-45's... complete with inlet manifold!

Is it a genuine Ti? LHD, with twin Solex carbs?

If so, how much does he want for it?

2002 ti has twin carbs and they weren't sold in RHD. However it is an easy conversion and my brother runs a ti setup with twin Solex 40s.

Sounds like Geeman's could be an aftermarket setup. If not, I may be interested!

Whoops! Must have got my Ti's mixed up with my Tii's - sorry!

For £2k it doesn't come with Recaros or the twin carbs/manifold though... though they are available separately.

This lovely bit of kit is still available. Give my old man a bell... he'll be happy to talk to you.

So is the car a 2002 Tii, but now fitted with twin solex sidedraughts?

For the £2k, does it come with the Kugelfischer setup and, if so, is the Kugelfischer pump working properly?

Jeez... what do you want for £2k...?

No, it comes with the single carb. The twin carbs are not fitted. They are available, with the inlet manifold, by separate negotiation. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand, they'll also fit an E21/E30 318 lump)

As already mentioned, the car is in boxes after having a body restoration, so nothing is really fitted... not the engine, not the gearbox, not the interior. It has the suspension and brakes fitted (new calipers, lines, hoses, etc.) so it's moveable. Dad has been concentrating on the mechanics rather than the cosmetics...
