Hi all,

Just wondered if the M21 130mm conrods would be interchangeable with M20B20 or M20B27 130mm conrods ?

Part number for M20B20 and M20B27 are same, but different for the M21 diesel.

I look for some conrods of 130mm for a 2.8 conversion, and have access to M21B24 conrods...

Pls let me know if you know.

Regards / Pierre

Nobody ever wondered if the Diesel rods were the same as the other 130mm ones ?

they'll probably be heavier and stronger than petrol 130mm rods. The diesel donk runs something like a 16:1 compression so the bottom ends need to be much stranger than a petrol engine.

No point using them unless they are the same i'd say

Thanks Simon,

found some lightly used 130mm conrods from a 325e in Germany.

That will be perfect for my B28 built.

Cheers / Pierre
