Took some new pics of my motorsport cab..

All rust has been taken care of, changed the wheels and refurbished the interior, painted the leather parts and managed to repair the rip in the bubble leather, luckily found a spare piece of bubble material from my local scrappy!

Before anyone starts, I do have the original wheels and will put them back on once I've got bored of the burger kings...

Nice one! Your lucky to have found some bubble leather from the scrappy, otherwise how else would you have gotten the leather from?

I know, thats bad, I am extra carefull with my bubble leather, as I know the consequences if it rips, I wonder if anyone leather houses could replicate it?

Anyway, Iam going to stop littering your post, nice cars, shame your going to sell the cab

I had a look into having some material replicated,no joy..

I have a friend who has a business supplying fabric to the middle eastern automotive market, gave her a sample and even she said it would be hard to replicate it!

Something to do with the way the leather is woven into the fabric and how the underside of the fabric is lined..

No need to pm, it's open to everyone ;-)

Its a 1999 (T) 728i Sport Individual, M52 Tu engine.

Avus blue in colour with champagne white leather interior.
Factory fitted Alpina suspension (shocks and springs)
Full sports kit featuring shadowline kit, suspension, steering wheel, gearknob, individual spec countour seats (fully electric)

Also has the full dsp sound set up from factory featuring 14 speakers in the cabin (2 woofers behind the rear headrests)

Alpina front splitter, fully colour coded bumper and door trims.

It did not come with the sat nav/tv/widescreen set up but I retro fitted that and it works like a charm.

It's done 80k miles with part bmw service history (other service's done by my local bmw indy)

Almost forgot the original 20" Alpina softline wheels, anyone who knows about these wheels know how much they are worth and they must know that they are like rocking hourse poo..

I'll pm you a price I had in mind...

Motorsport looks great.

See my post in

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... highlight=

for details of how I mended the roof on my cab. Once you get the hang of how it all works and know what parts you need it is not to bad to sort out.

Brilliant, thanks for that

I'll wait for the weather to clear up a bit and then get it sorted..

I also need to sort out the alignment of the roof, is way out at the moment and the roof leaks from the seals..

good write up by the way
