due to a couple of hints from zoners:

something different to get you out of bed nice and early on Boxing Day. the annual ad-hoc gathering of lots of interesting vehicles in the town square.

it is held in "The Square, Wickham, Hants." the post-code of a restaurant 50 yards away is PO17 5DJ.

if heading westbound, take M27 J10, head north along the A32 for a couple of miles then bear left on the A334 (Winchester road) signposted Wickham almost immediately.
heading eastbound, proceed to M27 J11, then double-back westbound to J10 (as there is no J10 exit on the eastbound side), then as above.
i highly recommend arriving around 08.30-09.00 as it gets very busy, very early and parking spaces are at a premium. don't say i didn't warn you.

Provisional totally non-committal list (pending hangovers, bellyaches, coughs, colds, etc., etc.). as mentioned, this is not a zone event at all, just a general meeting-up for a Christmas drink and chat, maybe a drive afterwards (?)

Depends on the family. May have visitors or be visiting boxing day. If not, may be worth a look.
Will know more when the family have the courtesy to let us know what they want to do... :x

Got to go to the outlaws on Xmas day. He's ex navy, and can drink like a thirsty Oliver Reed...
Can't see me being out of bed the day after before late morning.
May be up for a meet a bit later in the day, like after lunch... winkeye I dunno, Hedge End carpark near M&S? Or will the January Sales have started? Anyone know the locality well?

Some nice pics there Phil. Well done mate. Shame there wasn't more of a Zone turnout.

As said above, I wouldn't have got there by 830, no way. No response when I mentioned meeting peeps later in the day, and didn't want to be a Billy-No-Mates sat there all on my own....

I was struggling that morning, getting up after 2 days of solid boozing, then the snow & ice was everywhere. I arrived at five to nine, it was packed then. Adi bought me a pint in the Kings Head, the bar maid had to get the hoover out, she had to clear up the dust from his wallet winkeye

Adi will be thinking of all the bits you're going to buy for that new cabbie of yours...

Seriously thinking of selling the Turd in the new year to get myself a cabbie too.
For some reason, I really fancy getting one, but no way I could get one without getting rid of mine first...

Theres much work to be done on that Cabby of mine yet, Because of the snow its stuck in Reading until Jan.4. Just had a new cambelt\water pump fitted. Now got Reserving Lights, The wire to the switch had been fryed!

I was very impressed with the go this had, its only a 320, worth investing in one, after christmas I guess they'll be cheap.

Will need to sell the Touring first though. Had a 320i auto 4dr on a B-plate years ago, goes well enough, but sluggish on hills. No torque. The 318 is much better.

I know people do say might as well have a 318i/is over a 320i. The difference between the 2 isn't big. I've never driven a 318, but I'm sure it being lighter, must be better on hills

That's the main advantage. Very little difference performance wise. Just an advantage on the hills. Economy is slightly better on the 4-pot too, and I hear that handling is better because of the lighter weight, but will never be able to tell myself. Cabbies are heavier anyway, so handling won't matter so much.

Who's up for a meet on Sunday 3rd then? I'm thinking New Forest area, but can be decided when we know who wants to go.
