You may have got some dirt mixed in with the roller bearings, it is a bit of a fiddly job
When fitting these its best to clamp the UJ's to the steering column and rack first, then adjust the shaft to a position you are happy with.

probably a fiver or so and in stock at every breakers in the land
i just searched for that joint on realoem (under a 1989 M20 525i http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=32&fg=30 ) and it came up with this list of other cars it's fitted to:

easy enough to find then, E32 and E34 are the prime targets then

Mobile broadband networks are getting really good ATM, well worth looking into

Has anyone fitted one of these to an M20 engined car with a BTB2 manifold yet using an uprated sterring rack?
