Hi guys, I know some of this has been covered before when I've looked through the posts, but a bit more info needed please.
I/ve had to change the thermostat housing on my M20 2.0i engine as the bottom pipe had broken off. I decided to change the thermostat, sensors etc at the same time.
Problem 1.New housing has two additional screw threads where old one didn't. Old one was a casting with no removable blanks to put into new housing.I don't want to use the old sensors so any ideas?

Problem 2. I had to take off the inlet manfold to get the new housing on. First question is should it have all the deposits on the inside on the manifold? Second question is I wanted to paint the manifold to match the rocker cover but I'm struggling to get the injectors out.I can unbolt the four bolts holding the rail but not much else and I hate messing with anything to do with fuel.

Last question can somebody give me the part numbers for the inlet manifold gasket/ throttle body gasket and the rubber rings that fit this pipe that goes into the bottom of the manifold.

Thank you[/img]

The deposits seem okay, mine looked like that.

The new screw holes, so long as water doesn't leak out that's ok.

You need the centre inlet gasket, and the four outer ones and two o-rings from BMW.

They aren't too expensive, just go order them!

Thank you for those part numbers I shall order those tomorrow! Is it worth trying to get the injectors out and get them cleaned? Any idea of cost? Also the nuts that hold the inlet manifold on are there meant to be washers with them? I took all the nuts off but there any seemed to be three washers?
:?
Cheers
