Just fitted the lowering struts to the front but not the rear, but tempted to leave it like that, it looks awesome with such a filthy rake... what do we think, cool or just strange looking???

Does anyone else have a rake on their E30??

Here's an alternative huge rake, it doesn't look quite so silly.

HAHAHAH Love the rake there Adam!!!

I am well aware it will handle like a pig as it has a strut brace at the front as well but not the back so it will roll like a barrell at the back and be rock solid up front so it will understeer BUT :gives: In a childish kinda way... i love the fact it looks like a hotrod, i think i should get some wider wheels for the back and space savers up front! ... as for primer, i was thinking hammerite, becoming quite fond of that for almost every underside component at the moment (sub frame, heat shield, battery tray, brackets etc etc... hide the rust from mr MOT man :P )

I think a less extreme rake would look cool on my 535 as well.. but may also look fcuking stupid... hmmmm

whats the deal with Mk4 cortina's btw... were they hideously raked as well????? hehe

You'd need bigger rear wheel for it to truly be cool. Ala hotrod stylee such as:

btw that's the first time I've ever photoshopped a car 8O

the big wheels look alot better... anyone got some 17's that match those wheels :-P

as for the flames, now thats more like it, looks proper hot rod! My friend has flames down the side of his escort mk2.. looks awesome... however, its also alot quicker than my 320... only a bloody 1700cc as well...

one day i wil have to learn how to photoshop, looks fun! hehe... loving the 3d drawing of the e30 front end RevBillyG.... you got the complete car yet??

  bit excessive there

does look like a matchbox car tho

a slight rake can be achieved by fitting 205/50/15 to the front of the car, and 205/55 or 205/6015s to the rear.

Cotty180-the 60-40 drop will basically level off your car, rather than give you much of a rake

E30Adam-LOL at the rake-very subtle :D

Don't worry... The rake isnt permenant! Its just I haven't had time to finish the suspension fit. got the morning off tomorrow and after a week of BURNING sunshine... its not PISSING it down just in time for my day off... I DON'T BELIEVE IT! looks like hte rest of the suspenison might be waiting until monday next week... along with the oil change and rust removal then clean and polish... gonna be two weeks over budget on time for this one... HOW annoying! Might try using differing tyre sizes to get a less obvious rake going on! hehe

Good News,

The full spring set it now on and the rakeis nowhere to be seen. The back end is jacked up at the moment for some underseal work so its still nose down but I will get some piccies of her when she is finished hopefully... and some of the underside if i can, looks like a new car under there!!

shouldnt be long till she is back on the road :D
