already posted up that im going to turbo my 1976 1502 running m44 power...... have got a t3 from an escort rs turbo thats been fully rebuilt sitting for months so will be using that for the job.... this has internal wastegate....... im looking at the obx turbo manifold but this has an external wastegate port.... is there a way that the external will function or am i as well to do away with the external port??

just get a plate to seal the external port and use the one that came with the t3. :)

Thanks. Would liked the external waste gate "chatter" but think I'd need to fork out another turbo

You can always shut of the internal one.
Or run both.

It will all work.

I due urge you to block of the original wastegate and use the external one.

Can the original one be welded closed or can you buy a means to cover over it?

either is possible,

Here a couple of flats have been welded to keep the gate shut.

Here is a flat plate that covers the wastegate
Then you drill a hole where the wastegate flapper is, thread it and put in a bolt that keeps it shut.
