Just thought this might be an interesting topic of for a thread and a good chance to see some cool pics.

So what is your favourite E30, by your i mean one you've owned yourself, NOT say your favourite car on the zone owned by someone else.

This will be easy for some if you've only owned one and harder if you've had a right laugh in some turd and your minty fresh show piece has been a complete swine! :D

Here's mine to get things rolling;

1990 318iS, owned nearly 5 years, been to loads of meets and shows, constantly changed things on it, added most optional extras and loads of mods and got through 3 M42s. Looking back i should have gone 24v with it.

I really miss my first e30. Looked really clean, made good power - ive lost many hours washing it. When i think about it... i should probably of 24v'd that instead of buying another one to do it to.

Image

Although everytime i drive my m50 i get a huge smile from it and after properly washing it on saturday i can see its full potential of what i want to do to it. I might miss my iS but it still doesnt really compare to my 316i now its got some tasty morsels on it.

Image

(and yes it has got a new centre cap!)

Still one of the most expensive cars I've owned and definately one of the very best. I didn't appreciate how good an E30 it was until I came to buy another one a few Years later :roll:

I replaced it with the most hateful piece of scrap I have ever had the misfortune to own
Image
Was trying to get out of debt - I should have just battled through it :cry:

If change the bronzit turd for another E30 at some point it will be for a Dolphin Grey 325i SE With Grey Cloth sports trim and all the option boxes ticked :cool:

This is my 1st 325, and the best one i had since owning loads of others, only had 1 owner before me who bought it from new, and the car was solid as it should be....as in drive wise, needed a little body work doing due to it being parked up most of the time, ie:scuttle panel, but that was about it.....but sadly got written off!!!

got loads of pics if interested!!! winkeye
