Can anyone shed some light on this ive never heard of an E28 touring before, did they not sell them in the uk?

IIRC, it's like the 3-door prefacelift E30 touring. They only made a few and didn't officially sell them.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

Actually in "Back to the future 2" Griff has an e24 convertible.



And as you can see it's been given a dash of american styling.
Why is there not enough time to do it right, but allways enough time to fix the errors - I borrowed that, just so reallistic in my line of work.

Definately not UK market,seem to remember that they were factory built for the home(German) market.
Remember that in the early '80's BMW were a lot smaller than they are now!
E34 came in as a touring a year or two into production,following the success of E30 touring.
