Hi Guys,
Just bought A 320 Cabriolet, and the hood has a few bits of white and green around the edges. What do I need to do to clean it? I have washed the car, but the stuff doesn't shift.

Also is there anything I can do to keep the hood waterproof etc? the fabric is fine now, but I want to make sure it doesn't degrade and start to leak from now on! also the green and white spots don't look great on an all black car!!

cheers

Martin

try fabsil or renovo....check with a very small area to make sure they dont react....look in old classic car mags for adverts in the back pages for these products

if you are feeling flush, buy the Autoglym twin-pack cleaner and sealant sprayguns - it's 20 GBP but it does what it claims

any local motor factors - even Halfords

I,ve used the BMW stuff and also the autoglym. The autoglym is great and not so expensive.

But the BMW care pack comes with some cream to nourish / clean the rear window.

When you do it right, you'll see water bead on the roof just like you've waxed it!!!!!!

Can't remember, but it was quite a bit more than the autoglym. Was good though, but the rear window stuff lasts ages so I bought the autolglym after the beemer stuff ran out.

bought the autoglym stuff, but used most of the waterproofing spray, so I will need to check out the $tealers. I need to get a new arm for the hood motor main hoop, so will ask when I am there.

cheers

Renovo works treat on the back window and if you want a cheap waterproofer try bumper shine from poundland....all it is is sillicone spray ,,,keeps my roof looking black and well waterproofed
