Rear number plate sticky

hi there zoners

as some of you are aware i had my plates stolen..... ive got new 1's and now have fixed the front 1 on and now all i want ot know is what is the best sticky adhesive sticky pads ?

i have tried the halfords brand number plate fixers 6mm adhesive spacer sticky pads but these did not last logn at all

any other ideas avoiding driling holes ?

I refixed MY recently stolen plates with double sided sticky tape provided by the number plate seller.

The thing is that if you just stick your plates on, if someone wants them they can and will remove them.

You could probably used Araldite or similar to make a stronger fix, but a potential theif will think that he's dealing with sticky tape / pads and who knows what damage it will do the car when he starts levering them off

ive never seen the halfords sticky pads fail in many years use. did you clean the surfaces first before use?

fuzzy yup surface was totally clean and 100% dry before i applied the pads on.

Halfords do security screws that cant be taken out, they may help.

if its cold when you fit them they are not that effective

i bond them on

All done guys thanks for the advice surface was totally clean and was at room temp I guess as the back black number plate surround was in my house for a whole day. Halford has now served it rite so far so good guys
