Awesome stuff. What did you use on the headlights? Are they new or just polished up?

Thought as much - I might go new too though I haven't yet tried to polish.
Then again, the front-end is critical in establishing minty freshness.

good idea Stu satin would work me thinks , maybe I should have fitted an aircon valance ?StuBeeDoo wrote:Seconded.leeparkes wrote:Id get the valance black as you may still see it behind black mesh.e30topless wrote:Hartge front spoiler temp fitted, think i should use some black Aluminium mesh behind the vents? Excellent projectI'd do the valance and the brake scoops in satin. I'd cut the "air-con" slot in the valance as well for extra air to the radiator.

I am having another inlet done, the bmw emblem is not very good on this one hence the badgeTheo325 wrote:That bonnet liner is from a 325ix or 325e (can't remember now) looks great in my opinion. Is that a nasty hartge badge stuck on the inlet manifold? Remove at once!

it's amazing what horrors lurk beneath, even on the best/well cared for e30's
I'm sure it will be as new when matt has finished with it
luckily I have found nothing on my shell not a single bit
fingers crossed on tank/beam removal that it's just as good under there!

I took the wire wheel to any signs of split factory underseal/rust, lots of little repairs, However its amazing how far the rust spreads underneath once the underseal splits
Heres a few after:
1. Remove old underseal, grind rust
2. Apply "Krust"
3. Apply Zinc Primer
4. Apply Seam Sealer
Ignore the bottom of the arch, move along no rust to see here!!!!!

Steve, let me know and i'll remove, as its a bit OT

not OT one bit fella ,
thats some extensive work going on there
are you re-painting the underside for the factory look ?
interesting to see how you have proped the car up without a rear beam,
I unfortunatly have side skirts (fitted and blended with tigerseal) getting in the way
maybe I should have done the underside before the paint job? I had no idea at the time how far i was going to go with this car,
amazing how projects can get a bit out of control !

Steve, second picture down mate, jacked car up under diff, then placed axle stands with some pieces of wood under rear jacking points, solid as a rock, not budging one bit that, gives plenty of room underneath, got this idea from Trevor B7
Car is now totally up in the air, front axles stand located under lollipops
